Defensive Handgun: Basics

This Defensive Handgun: Basics Workshop for Beginners is limited to no more than 8 people.  This workshop is suitable for adults and older teens.  If under 18 you must be accompanied by your parent/legal guardian (NO exceptions).

This Gorge Prep workshop is taught by an NRA certified Range Safety Officer. This active shooting workshop will be held at the Cascade Sportsman's Club outdoor shooting range.  The range is located off Washington SR 14, just west of the Bridge of the Gods, on Ashes Lake Rd.  

All targets and stands will be provided. 'Chamber Safe' flags will be provided. ONLY 1 person at a time will be firing, but everyone present will be able to observe and learn.  This workshop will stress safety and use of the handgun for basic defensive purposes.

YOU MUST BRING: your own handgun, eye protection, hearing protection, minimum of (50) rounds of ammunition.  Holsters are NOT REQUIRED or necessary.    This workshop is held regardless of the weather (we will provide rain shades!).

Inaddition, you may want to bring: an outdoor chair, raingear, & water bottle. 

Please remember to pre-register as we need at least 5 people pre-registered by the Friday night before the workshop or this workshop will be cancelled!
